Hair raising Ideas!!!

This week I am celebrating natural curly hair.  We have the best of both worlds cause we have the power to be straight or curly ...Oh yes, the curly Q's of the world. For those with naturally curly hair, here are some tips for you on everything curly!

I used to think I was limited when it came to styling my curly hair. I am here to inform you this is NOT TRUE! Here are some hair ideas you can use on your daily adventures.

This one side swept hairstyle suits Shannon’s slightly elongated face well as it brings it a sort of balance to it by adding more volume to her facial width. The curls have been held in place by hairclips and hairspray. The one side swept look also looks great with the one shoulder dress she has worn to the occasion. The innovative hair style adds glamour and brings attention to her dress and the bejewelled border running across the shoulder.

Halle Berry's curly ponytail works best if your hair is naturally curly. Get the look:

1. To start, brush back the top part of your hair and pull it back into a ponytail. (If your hair isn't naturally curly, scrunch it while blow drying with a diffuser first.)
2. Now put several drops of frizz-fighting serum on your palms and run your hands over your hair.
3. Take a piece of hair from underneath and wrap it around the base of your pony for a polished finish.

If an updo is too stiff or uncomfortable for you, try half up, half down. This look is great for girls who have very thick hair; for them, wearing hair all up is uncomfortable and hard to keep looking flawless all night. By setting the hair on rollers then using the curling iron, you will get the hold needed and the iron will form those great wavy curls.

Selita Ebanks' half updo is a gorgeous choice for naturally curly hair. Steal her style:

1.
Blow dry your damp hair with a diffuser to define your curls.
2. Use your fingers to comb the top section of your hair back, and secure it into a half updo use a thin elastic or clip.
3. Slip on a flirty headband to push hair back away from your face.
4. Avoid touching your hair, just mist your curls with anti-humidity hairspray to tame any flyaways

Naturally Curly

What to do with my Curly Hair?

Hey girls and guy with the best of both worlds ... When it comes to hair that is. Oh yes, the curly Q's of the world. For those with naturally curly hair, here are some tips for you on everything curly !
Let’s start at the Beginning: Proper hair care.
Now we all should know that because of the fragile texture, shampooing should be at most once a week. We need to retain the natural oils to keep our hair from frizzing. It is ok to condition daily for extra moisture, but it is ideal to condition 2-3 times a week. Deep conditioning is also very important! It helps your curls stay frizz less and healthy from the roots to the ends. I personally love natural/homemade deep conditioners so here are my favourite recipes.  Enjoy!

Mix the mayonnaise and avocado until you have a paste. Rub it on your hair and cover your head with a plastic cap. Sit under a drier for extra damaged  hair. Wrap a hot towel around it. Leave it on for 20-30 minutes and wash. Repeat once a week for better results.
